Women’s Basketball Welcomes All to Inaugural Food Fest of Pasco on February 13th
Lions and Pasco Regional Medical Center Partner to Help Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research
SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Chanita Olds officially kicked off the inaugural 2010 Food Fest of Pasco on January 5, 2010 by unveiling a new website, www.saintleolions.com/foodfest and a presenting sponsor in the Pasco Regional Medical Center – who is partnering with the Lions to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to Pasco County.
The Food Fest of Pasco will bring an array of foods, tastes, flavors, and cultures of Pasco County together on one amazing day in the heart of the county. This inaugural gathering on the beautiful campus of Saint Leo University is brought to you by Coach Olds as well as the SLU women’s basketball team and will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This best part of this wonderful day is that not only does it include great food and great fun; it is also benefiting a great cause. Twenty-five percent of the funds raised from this fantastic event will benefit the WBCA Pink Zone Initiative. The WBCA Pink Zone is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. A portion of the monies collected will go to benefit the Saint Leo University women’s basketball team’s charity of choice - the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund. The members of Saint Leo University women’s basketball team, have pledge to "assist in the fight against breast cancer" and with your support you can assist in this great cause and also be a part of this community wide celebration.
